MCV Green Affairs focuses on making MCV campus at VCU and the Richmond community greener through service and education. This student-led organization welcome students, faculty, and staff, from all schools and disciplines, both medical and academic from either campus, as well as Richmond community members to help us pursue our goals of educational outreach, increased recycling access, improved sustainable practices and policies at VCU, and community outreach. Worm Composting - Back by Popular Demand

Tricycle Gardens will also teach us general composting skills, and will demonstrate their own self-watering planter design, so you can make your own. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and support our Union Hill Community Garden Project!

Learn how to compost with worms with Tricycle Gardens and Green Unity.
Worm composting is great for small spaces indoors, as it gives off little to no odor. Perfect for dorm and apartment dwellers with no access to a yard. When combined with recycling, worm composting can reduce the amount of household waste going to the landfill by up to 80%. Participants will take home their own worm composting kit, so you can get started at home!

Student discounted cost: $15 per person
Everyone else: $30, $15 if you bring your own bin
Payment can be made at the event through cash or check
